Polytec South America is very happy to share that one of the largest steel producers in Latin America and a global leader in the mining segment has recently ordered eight robotic cells from Polytec to improve safety in furnace areas and streamline operations in the rolling mill. These advanced robotic solutions will be integrated into different facilities and will automate sampling and measurement processes around the furnaces, as well as hot and long product tagging operations.

Furnace sampling and measurement robots fully automate the sampling and measurement process in high-risk areas around the furnace, significantly reducing human exposure to extreme heat and hazardous conditions.

Polytec’s hot and long product tagging systems will be introduced to ensure traceability of products through each stage of production.
